CAMP SIONGCO, Awang, Datu Odin Sinsuat, Maguindanao – A total of 44 unlicensed guns were turned over to the army yesterday, July 16, 2018, at Banisilan, North Cotabato.
The surrendered high and low powered firearms, coming from the different barangays of Banisilan town, were turned over in a ceremony at the municipal covered court led by Mayor Jesus b. Alisasis.

The firearms were received by 602nd Brigade Commander Col. Alfredo V Rosario Jr and 34th Infantry Battalion Commander Lt. Col. Angelo Z Lutera.
Brig. Gen. Cirilito E. Sobejana, Commander of 6th Infantry Division, commended the efforts of the local government of Banisilan for partaking in the Balik-Baril program of the government with the combined efforts of 34th Infantry Battalion, 602nd Infantry Brigade and the province of North Cotabato.
This 2018, a total of 1,649 firearms were surrendered and recovered in the areas of Joint task Force Central.
