DWDD AFP Civil Relations Service Radio Website (Apr 20): NEW LIFE | 23 former NPAs receive Financial Assistance
PUERTO PRINSESA, Palawan (DWDD) – The Provincial Government of Palawan together with the Provincial Social Welfare Development Office and the AFP Western Command (WESCOM) provided financial assistance to twenty-three (23) former rebels through the “Local Social Integration Program”.
Each former rebel received a total of P25,000 worth of financial assistance to help them start a new and peaceful life together with their loved ones. The financial aid was personally handed by Palawan Governor Jose Alvarez.
The AFP Western Command and the Provincial Government has been relentless in its effort to convince the remaining rebels in the province to return to the fold-of-the-law and regain a peaceful and meaningful life. The community is always ready to receive our misguided brothers and sisters and is ready to provide them with all necessary livelihood and financial assistance. WESCOM / MCAG
