IMPASUGONG, Bukidnon (DWDD) – Troops from the 8th Infantry “Dependable” Battalion saved two lives when it rescued a wounded / 3-month pregnant member of the terrorist New People’s Army (NPA) abandoned by her comrades after an encounter on April 14, 2018, in Sitio Ulayanon, Barangay. Kalabugao, Impasug-ong, Bukidnon.
The victim was identified as Susan Cabusao Guayon, who sustained a head wound when discovered by responding soldiers.
The battalion medic immediately gave Susan the necessary medical attention and they then immediately evacuated her to the nearest medical facility to ensure her safety and her unborn child.
Currently, Susan is still recovering and has been reunited with her family.
This is proof that our soldier put value in the life of others, even those who are considered as enemies of the people. 8IB / MCAG
