From DWDD AFP Civil Relations Service Radio Website (Nov 22): ARRESTED | SOLCOM Troops captures 12 suspected NPA terrorist
NASUGBU, Batangas (DWDD) – Military forces arrested 12 individuals suspected of being NPA terrorist in a joint AFP-PNP checkpoint at Barangay Utod Nasugbu, Batangas after an encounter on November 20.
According to Brigadier General Arnulfo Marcelo B Burgos Jr, Commander, 202nd Infantry Brigade, the 12 arrested suspects were believed to be NPA members that were involved in an firefight with government troops in Barangay Utod, Nasugbu.
Major General Rhoderick Parayno, acting Commander, AFP Southern Luzon Command (SOLCOM), soldiers from the 730th Combat Group would be identifying the suspects to verufy if they were the same group they encountered last Monday.
The suspects are now in the custody of PNP Nasugbu while hot pursuit operations are still being conducted by PNP Cavite, PNP Batangas and troops from the 2nd Infantry Division against the NPA terrorist. SOLCOM/MCAG
