From ABS-CBN (Jul 21): 2 Abu Sayyaf members killed in Sulu firefight
Two members of terror group Abu Sayyaf were killed while a soldier was wounded in clashes in Patikul, Sulu Thursday.
Abu Sayyaf members Benajir Intag and Bassal Mahalli were killed in a firefight at Barangay Bungkaong, Patikul, at around 6:25 a.m.
Intag’s body was recovered by troops along with 5 high-powered firearms, cellphones and other personal belongings.
Brigadier General Cirilito Sobejana, commander of Joint Task Force Sulu meanwhile said the wounded soldier was already stable.
