From the Philippine News Agency (Apr 21): Docking of Russian warship at Manila South Harbor part of goodwill visit

The Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) on Friday said the arrival of Russian warship is part of a goodwill visit with other countries.

“These are four days friendly visit…” said DFA spokesman Robespierre Bolivar in a radio interview.

Bolivar recalled that the country also welcomed American, French at Australian ships last year as part of goodwill exchanges.

A Russian naval vessel named Varyag on Thursday arrived at the Manila South Harbor. It is the flagship of the Pacific Fleet of the Russian Navy.

The vessel will open for all visitors on April 22 at the Port of Manila, Pier 15.
