Joint operations in Datu Paglas, Maguindanao by the 33rd Infantry ‘Makabayan’ Battalion of the Philippine Army Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao (PDEA-ARMM) conducted Saturday resulted to the seizing of approximately PHP500,000 worth of methamphetamine hydrochloride, drug paraphernalia, cash and an M16 Rifle.

The operations also resulted to the wounding and arrest of suspects who are under the alleged drug lord Abdulatip Pendaliday, alias “Commander Gras Cutter. Two troopers were also injured during the operations.

“We will take active roles now, we will cleanse our AOR of drug personalities,” said Lt. Colonel Harold Cabunoc who recently assumed as 33IB commander.

The 33rd IB, based in President Quirino, Sultan Kudarat, is responsible for security in towns of Quirino, Isulan, Lambayong, Tacurong City in Sultan Kudarat province and the towns of Buluan, Datu Paglas, Mangudadatu, Paglat and SK Pendatun in Maguindanao.
