President Rodrigo Duterte on Friday said the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and Philippine National Police (PNP) can use the presidential aircraft to airlift their personnel who were wounded during operations.
“I can take commercial plane, you can use the presidential chopper, that is not mine, that is owned by the government,” said President Duterte who visited wounded soldier of Philippine Army 6th Infantry Division in Camp Siongco Station Hospital, Camp Siongco in Awang, Maguindanao.
The Presidential Airlift Wing provides aircraft and aircrew for airlift of the President, immediate members of his family, visiting Heads of State and other VVIPs.
The air force wing could also perform other functions as directed by higher Headquarters.
