Veterans Affairs Office to lead medical outreach program in Pangasinan

From the Philippine Information Agency (Sep 8): Veterans Affairs Office  to lead medical outreach program in Pangasinan

The Philippine Veterans Affairs Office and the Veterans Memorial Medical Center are set to conduct a medical outreach program on September 15 at the Narciso Ramos Sports Complex in Lingayen town.

The whole-day event anchored on the theme "“Serbisyo sa Beterano, Serbisyo sa Bayan” will run from 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.

Natalie Pardo-Labang, senior veterans assistance officer of PVAO, said the outreach event is part of the Veterans Hospitalization and Medical Care Program (VHMCP) which aims to address the health care needs of the veterans and their dependents who do not have access to the facilities of the Veterans Memorial Medical Center, the lone hospital which caters to the needs of veterans.

“The program is especially for veterans who are from the provinces and far-flung areas. Through this, PVAO brings health care services closer to the veterans,” Labang said.

Services to be offered during the outreach program include: free check-up, dental, ophthalmology, psychiatry, rehab medicine, ear-nose-throat (ENT), ob-gyne, urology, ECG, pediatrics and general medicine.
