The Philippine National Police (PNP) in Negros Oriental conducted its security drill and inspection of a vital installation in Valencia town.

At 9:30 a.m. Friday, a team led by acting Valencia chief of police, Chief Insp. Alfonso A. Enriquez, conducted a security drill and inspection at the Energy Development Corporation (EDC)’s geothermal plant in Barangay Puhagan, Valencia.

The police checked the company’s security preparations against all forms of terrorist activities and threats, a report from the PNP Text Blast Project said.

During the inspection, the chief of police conducted an accounting of all duty guards, firearms and communication capability and checked the company’s contingency plan in the event an attack will be carried out by the CNN (Communist Party of the Philippines/New People’s Army/National Democratic Front) and other terrorist groups.
