The Philippine Army (PA) is looking for bullet manufacturers
capable of supplying it with 558,200 rounds of .45 caliber ball ammunition.
The latter refers to a projectile consisting of a soft core
(often lead) encased in a shell of harder metal, such as gilding metal,
cupronickel, or less commonly a steel alloy.
The. 45 caliber is one of the official sidearms of the PA
along with the 9mm pistol.
Budget for the project is set at PHP12.1 million. Pre-bid
conference is slated for July 4, 1 p.m. at the Philippine Army Bids and Awards
Committee Conference Room, Fort Bonifacio , Taguig
City .
Receipt and opening of bids is on July 12, 1 p.m. at the
same venue.
