Western Mindanao Command (WMC) head Lt. Gen. Mayoralgo M.
Dela Cruz personally awarded Wounded Personnel Medals to the seven Marines
injured in improvised explosive device (IED) blast in Talipao, Sulu on
Thursday.
The awarding rites took place Friday at the Camp Navarro General
Hospital in Zamboanga City
All wounded Marines are members of Marine Battalion Landing
Team-10 (MBLT-10).
The awardees were Technical Sgt. Marlon Espedido, Sgt. Leo
Banagudos, Sgt. Bernard Gatacelo, Cpl. Arnold Braga, Pfc. Reginald Dagani, Pfc.
Ramie Panizales, and Pvt. Aldrin Cruz.
All of them were aboard a military truck convoy passing in
around Barangay Lagtoh, Talipao, Sulu which was hit by the IED which exploded
at 6:50 a.m. Thursday.
