CAMP SERVILLIANO AQUINO, Tarlac (DWDD) - Northern Luzon Command (NOLCOM) is continuously maintaining communication and radio checks with all major units of 5th and 7th Infantry Divisions (5ID & 7ID) of the Phil Army, Naval Task Force 40, and Tactical Operations Group (TOG) 1, 2 & 3 for their respective disaster response operations, along with local DRRMCs.

Its battle staff is continuously monitoring the situation. 7ID provided additional two (2) 6×6 trucks to assist the Department of Health (DOH) in transporting medicines and health emergency logistics, and another two 6×6 trucks to Department of Social Welfare and Development (DSWD) Region 3 to transport relief goods, all to Baler, Aurora.

At 1:30pm yesterday, troops of 56IB facilitated the pre-emptive forced evacuation to residents of Brgys Sabang, Zabali and Pingit, all of Baler, Aurora.

Other troops also conducted forced evacuation in coastal barangays of Dilasag, Aurora. These residents are now in its municipal hall. They also provided manpower assistance for the hauling of 180 sacks of rice from Prov Capitol to Dalisag, Aurora. Another company of the said battalion is in Quirino prov for the same disaster response operations.

As of 6am this morning, it was reported that roads in Claveria, Cagayan and Calanasan are not passable due to landslides. Bridges in Brgys Bagutari of Sto Tomas; Cansan and Casibaran of Cabagan; Mosonsing of Sta. Maria; Minanga of Sn Mariano and Cabisera 8 of Ilagan City, all of Isabela are not passable. A bridge in Angadanan was also damaged.

At Camp Aguinaldo, HADR-CAT was already convened starting 16 October 2015 for monitoring and as all HADR units of JTF-NCR was declared on Red Alert status. All of their DRTUs were put on standby ready to support NOLCOM and/or conduct disaster response in Metro Manila areas.

Some of its troops also augmented to DSWD in Pasay City to assist in preparing relief food packs for transport and distribution to affected communities. – 7CRG / MCAG
