A police intelligence officer died on the spot when
unidentified armed men ambushed him in Barangay Gabao, Irosin, Sorsogon
Tuesday.
PO2 Roque Anonuevo, 37, married and resident of Barangay San
Julian, Irosin, was on board his motorcycle monitoring wanted persons in the
area at about 10:20 a.m. when shot by the unknown persons.
Seven-year-old Merry S. Camo was hit by a stray bullet while
playing at the road side.
After the shooting, the suspects hurriedly left the place.
Responding police officers failed to catch up with the
killers.
Police are still determining the identities of the suspects
and their motive for the killing.
