The Cataduanes-based 73rd Infantry Battalion was given a new
commanding officer in the person of Lt. Col. Zacarias Battalla.
His appointment took effect Monday.
He replaces Lt. Col. Bernado Fortes, Jr., who was appointed
as acting chief-of-staff for personnel of the 9th Infantry Division.
Present during change-of-command ceremonies were 9th
Infantry Division commander Major Gen. Yerson E. Depayso and Catanduanes Gov.
Araceli B. Wong.
This took place at 73rd Infantry Battalion headquarters in
Barangay Lictin, San Andres town, Catanduanes.
