New People's Army (NPA) members shot dead a farmer working
in his farm Sunday morning in Barangay Eastern Capsay, Baleno, Masbate .
Victim Arnel Rapsing, 30 and married, was working in his
farm at about 9:00 a.m. when the NPA rebels arrived, tied his hands and shot
him on his head and body, a police report said.
The report said the rebels suspected Rapsing of being a
military-police asset who gave information to the authorities on the activities
of the rebels in the area.
It added that the victim had been receiving threats from the
rebels but he just ignored these as, he claimed, it was not true.
