A cropped version of this photo was posted to the MNLF Website in which only part of the banner in the background was visible. At the time, I thought that perhaps the photo was an old one published with the intent of deceiving viewers that that Misuari was alive and well somewhere in Sulu province.
ReplyDeleteHaving now seen a copy of the full photo, it now appears that it was authentic and that Misuari, while still on the run in Sulu, is able to exercise some influence among a limited number of Tausug leaders in the region.
