From InterAksyon (Sep 6): Alleged NPA commander nabbed in Cagayan de Oro - police
An alleged commander of the New People’s Army was captured in Cagayan de Oro Thursday night, police said over the weekend.
Reports reaching Camp Crame said Victoriano Dimco, alias “Ka Berting,” allegedly vice-chairman of the NPA’s Southeastern Command 3 Guerrilla Front in Bukidnon, attempted to escape the arresting policemen.
Dimco, against whom five warrants of arrest for murder were issued, was tagged to an ambush of Army Special Forces troops in which Captain Apollo Palasol and four other soldiers died.
He is also facing charges for the rebel raid on the police station of Quezon town.
