Fire hits ISAFP compound

From the Philippine News Agency (Jan 11): Fire hits ISAFP compound

Fire believed caused by faulty electrical wiring gutted one of the offices inside the Intelligence Service of the Armed Forces of the Philippines (ISAFP) compound in Camp Aguinaldo, Quezon City Friday afternoon.

The ISAFP compound is located near the Office of the Civil Defense building.

The fire broke out at around 5:25 p.m. at the ISAFP message center. It was extinguished by 6:10 p.m., Military Police commander Lt. Col. Edgardo Batenga said.

No one was injured in the fire which badly damaged the office's ceiling.

Batenga said that some of the documents in the message center were damaged by water from the firefighters' hoses.

Investigation is still ongoing to determine the cause of the fire.
