From the Philippine Information Agency (Nov 19): Army to conduct medical, dental mission in Kasibu, Nueva Vizcaya

The Philippine Army will be conducting a medical and dental mission in the upland village of Kasibu town tomorrow to bring government services closer to the people.

Lt. Colonel Eugene Mata, commanding officer of the army’s  3rd Infantry Batallion based in San Jose, Nueva Ecija, said the medical and dental mission in barangay Pao in Kasibu town  is in line with the Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) Internal Peace and Security Plan called ‘Bayanihan’ Campaign.

‘Bayanihan’ campaign is a process of making and rendering  simple basic services which will have significant value to the community residents .

“This activity will consist of medical and dental services including blood letting and other support  activities for community development in collaboration with various government agencies, local government units and other stakeholders,” Mata explained.

He said the medical and dental mission is needed by the upland residents in barangay Pao where most villagers are members of indigenous peoples.
