I've had the same thoughts as Ms. De Lima regarding the status of MNLF Commander Habier Malik. He had no problem doing telephonic interviews and issuing statements during the Zamboanga siege. It is unusual that he has remained silent since the fighting has died down in Zamboanga when a simple telephone interview with Rappler or some other news outlet would be such a propaganda coup in the aftermath of the devastating defeat that MNLF forces suffered in Zamboanga. The fact that he hasn't granted an interview or issued a statement would seem to suggest that he has either been killed or severely wounded.
