Unidentified men snatched at gunpoint two teaching staff of a local foundation in Lantawan, Basilan Wednesday night.
Initial reports identified the victims as Frederick Banot and Cherden Masong, both staffers of the Charity Children Foundation, Inc., which is based in the locality.
The two were hurriedly put on board two small boats locally known as “jungkung” which sped off towards an unknown direction around 7:30 p.m. in Sitio Wharf Pangasaan, Barangay Tairan in Lantawan town.
Possibly Abu Sayyaf Group fundraising activity??
