From InterAksyon (Sep 8): 1 soldier hurt as home-made bomb explodes on Tacurong-Davao Highway
A soldier was wounded at 6 a.m. Sunday after a home-made bomb exploded some 200 meters from an Army detachment on a portion of the Tacurong-Davao Highway in Barangay Madidis, Datu Paglas in Maguindanao.
Army Corporal Edwin Lumufer who was getting a banana leaf to be used for his and his unit’s breakfast was hurt.
Tacurong-Davao Highway was also closed for several hours.
Initial reports indicated that the bomb was hidden among tall leaves by the roadside.
The wounded soldier was brought to the hospital.
It is not known who exploded the bomb and why.
Traffic in the area later returned to normal.
