President Benigno Aquino III will head government and military officials during welcoming ceremonies for the BRP Ramon Alcaraz (PF-16) upon its arrival at
"We will be having a meeting with the Presidential Management Staff regarding this (welcoming ceremonies) as President Aquino will be our guest of honor," Navy spokesperson Lt. Cmdr. Gregory Fabic said.
He said the Aug. 3 arrival of the ship refers to the vessel entrance into Philippine territory.

Fabic declined to reveal the exact location where this ceremony will take place for security reasons.
He added Alcaraz, upon commissioning in the second week of October, will be deployed to help other PN ships in protecting the country's exclusive economic zone.
