From ABS-CBN (Jul 24): MILF breakaway group attacks military camp: 4th IB
A detachment of the 45th Infantry Battalion of the military in Barangay Magaslong in Datu Piang Town, Maguindanao was allegedly harassed by suspected members of the Bangsamoro Islamic Freedom Fighters (BIFF) Wednesday morning.
According to 4th Infantry Battalion Alpha Company Commanding Officer 1st Lt. Franklin Solis, the harassment by the MILF breakaway group lasted for almost 30 minutes.
"Kagabi pa may mga natatanggap na kaming threat na aatakihin daw nila ang mga kampo namin dito sa Datu Piang kaya nakapaghanda kami," Solis said.
No casualties were reported.
Military personnel in the area are now on full alert for possible attacks from the rebels.
