From the Philippine Information Agency (Dec 13): WESCOM, Ten Moves inaugurate interactive classroom in Palawan

Western Command and Ten Moves Foundation dedicated and turned-over a pre-fabricated interactive classroom to Bato National High School, Taytay, Palawan last Dec. 4. The Public Affairs Office of WESCOM in a statement said that guest of honor WESCOM Commander LtGen Juancho M Sabban attributed the realization of the school project to the successful collaboration among all education stakeholders. “Together, we have constructed a new foundation to build upon our youth’s promising future,” LtGen. Sabban said.

As the pre-fabricated interactive classroom was dedicated, the Commander highly commended the remarkable contributions of ‘Ten Moves’ that turned the vision of Bayanihang Pampaaralan program, which is aimed to address classroom shortage, a reality.  “While government is primarily tasked to provide free and quality education to every Filipino child, Ten Moves reminds us that we are all education stakeholders. And the youth, who ought to be the primary target of initiatives to comprise them as assets in the society, is everybody’s concern,” he added.

Likewise, LtGen Sabban thanked the Parents-Teachers Association for taking an active part in the project.  “Each of you as valued stakeholder has helped the nation-building program grow in stature. Through this joint undertaking, we have taught our young people and demonstrated to them the true values of team spirit, concern, compassion, and charity,” he said. In passing on to the students the enduring interest for knowledge and the inspiration and motivation to seek improvement and success, he urged everyone to dedicate oneself to the cause of advancing education – a task that is far from complete......
