From GMANews (Nov 22): PHL Embassy: Arrested Fil-Am, three others 'plotted' terrorist attacks in PHL

The Philippine Embassy in the United States said Ralph Kenneth De Leon and the three other suspected terrorists arrested on Monday, allegedly planned to mount attacks against Americans in different countries including the Philippines. In a news release on Tuesday, Philippine Ambassador to the US Jose Cuisia Jr. said Chief Supt. Armand Ramolete, the Embassy’s Police Attaché, has requested the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) for additional information about the "alleged plot to kill Americans and bomb US bases abroad, including in the Philippines.".... De Leon is a permanent US resident who was born in the Philippines. The embassy said "all four were charged for conspiring to provide material support to terrorists." Consul General Helen Barber-Dela Vega of the Philippine Consulate General in Los Angeles said they have been informed by the FBI on Monday about De Leon's arrest. He is detained at a facility in San Bernardino County..... In Manila, the Armed Forces of the Philippines and the Philippine National Police assured Americans of their protection while in the Philippines, stressing that so far, there are no serious terrorist threat in the country.....
