From the Zamboanga Today (Oct 18): Philippines, U.S. strengthen law enforcement, security partnership

Approximately 100 personnel from various Philippine law enforcement agencies completed courses on Combat Zone Post Blast Investigations conducted by the U.S. Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) Sept. 24-Oct. 6 in Zamboanga City and Manila.  Participants included individuals from the National Bureau of Investigation, the Philippine National Police (PNP), the Philippine Army, the Philippine Coast Guard, and PNP – Special Action Forces.  The training was designed to provide instruction on using expedited methods for collecting evidence at crime scenes that cannot be maintained due to combat or other influences. During the training, FBI instructors shared best practices in the collection and preservation of evidence, identification of improvised explosive devices, and processing of crime scenes.,,,
