THE EASTERN Mindanao Command (EastMincom) will hold a change of command ceremony on Friday, May 31, at Naval Station Felix Apolinario in Camp Panacan, Davao City.
Outgoing EastMinCom commander Lieutenant General Greg Almerol will relinquish his post upon reaching the mandatory retirement age of 56.
Almerol has served as EastMincom chief since March 8, 2021. He previously extended his term due to the new AFP law.
EastMincom spokesperson Col. Rosa Ma. Cristina Rosete-Manuel said Maj Gen Jose Maria Cuerpo II, commander of the 4th Infantry Division, is named the acting commander of the EastMinCom effective May 31, 2024.
