ZAMBOANGA. Two former members of the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) in Sulu have receive financial assistance from government through the Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-Clip). TWO former members of the Abu Sayyaf Group (ASG) in Sulu have received cash assistance from the government in order for them to start new and progressive lives.

The 11th Infantry Division (ID) in a statement Friday, August 18, said the recipients of the cash aid were
Adzmir Makiji Siri of Talipao town and Aifer Heirala of Patikul municipality.

Siri and Heirala surrendered recently to the government as they wish to live peaceful lives together with their families.


The 11ID said each of them received a total of P65,000 cash aid consisting of P50,000 livelihood assistance and P15,000 immediate financial assistance.

The two former ASG members received cash grant through the government’s Enhanced Comprehensive Local Integration Program (E-Clip) implemented by the Department of the Interior and Local Government and Ministry of the Interior and Local Government in the Bangsamoro Autonomous Region in Muslim Mindanao.

Sulu Governor Abdusakur Tan personally handed over the financial assistance in checks to the two former ASG members in a simple ceremony at the provincial capitol on Thursday, August 17.
