Bislig City, Surigao del Sur – The Local Government Unit of Rosario, Agusan del Sur, in partnership with the 48th Infantry (Guardians) Battalion conducted an outreach program at Sitio Cosep and Masabong both of Brgy Bayugan 3 and Brgy Wasian in the Municipality of Rosario, Agusan del Sur on April 15.

The activity aims to deliver basic needs and to assess the condition of the people in Geographically Isolated and Disadvantaged Areas (GIDAS).

220 families benefited from Sitio Cosep, 175 families in Sitio Masabong and 420 families in Barangay Wasian.

The relief items coming from the LGU of Rosario were delivered through the efforts of their Municipal Social Welfare Development Officer Ms Jeanette G. Celedio together with the Sangganiang Bayan members, SK Federation, Indigenous Peoples Representatives and Lieutenant Colonel Enrique G. Rafael Acting Commanding Officer of 48IB.

Lieutenant Colonel Rafael also said that the 48IB is always ready to help the people and expressed his gratitude to Rosario LGU, the residents and other stakeholders for their cooperation in the said activity.

He then re-assured the public that the 48IB is open for partnership in pursuing peace and development in the area.
