CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela, March 26 (PIA) - The town of San Mariano is a recipient of the Office of the Presidential Adviser on Peace Process’ Payapa at Masaganang Pamayanan (PAMANA) P4.7 million project.

The said amount is intended for the construction of 18 units multi-purpose drying pavement and water system in the town’s 12 far flung barangays.

The OPAPP’s project in places where there are threats of insurgency aims to address the needs of the residents residing away from the poblacion.

San Mariano Mayor Edgar Go said that the projects allotted to the town would be in addition to the existing project of the the town to address the plight of the residents residing in far flung barangays to make their life easier and comfortable.

Meanwhile, L/Col. Lemuel Baduya, 95th Infantry Battalion commander, said the success of the soldier in addressing insurgency is also the success of the whole officials of San Mariano.

The army officer expressed thanks to LGU San Mariano officialdom for the continuous support they are extending to the soldiers to make the town peaceful and orderly despite the threat of the CPP-NPA terrorists. (MDCT/MGE/PIA 2-Isabela)
