From the Philippine Information Agency (Jan 25, 2021): Lanao del Norte PTF-ELCAC revitalizes efforts to end insurgencies (By PIO-LDN)
TUBOD, Lanao del Norte, Jan. 25 (PIA) - The Provincial Task Force to End Local Communist Armed Conflict (PTF-ELCAC) in Lanao del Norte convened here on Jan. 21 to tackle revitalized efforts to address armed threats and conflicts in the province.The meeting was spearheaded by the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) and the provincial government of Lanao del Norte and attended by representatives of regional and national government agencies, the security sector, and civil society organizations.
Updates on the status of projects and activities of member-government agencies as well as future projects that can vitally help in addressing the root causes of insurgencies and armed conflicts in the province were discussed.
The Halfway House for former rebels of DILG was also tackled during the meeting.

The Provincial Government also gave commitment updates and status on the Infrastructure, Economic, Social, and Administrative Developments as Governor Imelda Quibranza-Dimaporo is strongly supportive of President Rodrigo Roa Duterte’s Executive Order No. 70 which institutionalizes a Whole-of-Nation Approach in attaining inclusive and sustainable peace.
“The peace and order in Lanao del Norte have been satisfactorily sustained. The collaborative efforts of all government instrumentalities and civic organizations are essential in paving the way to attain lasting peace and development," the Governor said.
Also present during the meeting were Provincial Vice Governor Maria Cristina Atay and Lanao del Norte 2nd District Representative Abdullah Dimakuta Dimaporo.
“There are so many ways to help alleviate the lives of our constituents. In order to unite the people, the officials and the different government offices must be united, must plan and implement together," said Congressman Dimaporo. (PIO-LDN/PIA ICIC)
