A high-ranking NPA who had served the terrorist group for five (5) years surrendered to the 25th Infantry Fireball Battalion on Saturday, August 22, 2020, in Monkayo, Davao de Oro.
Identified as alias Ading, the surrenderee revelead that he was deceived to join the NPA since he was 16 years old - an age prohibited by International Humanitarian Law (IHL) to be involved in armed conflict.
The 21-year old surrenderee also brought along one (1) M16 rifle, one (1) M653 rifle and six (6) magazines with fifty-eight (58) ammunitions, which he yielded to the same unit.
