From DWDD AFP Civil Relations Service Radio Website (Aug 23): FRUSTRATED | NPA surrender to 50IB in Kalinga
PINUKPOK, Kalinga (DWDD) – A member of the Communist Terrorist group New People’s Army surrendered to authorities, with firearm, in Barangay Camalog, Pinukpuk, Kalinga.
According to reports from the 50th Infantry “Defender” Battalion, the CNT identified as Daniel B Guiwan voluntarily surrendered with one (1) M16 Rifle bearing serial number 004066 and one (1) magazine loaded with eleven (11) ammos.
The surrender was the result of relentless Community Service Program operations, Wang-Wang operations and various activities in the 50IB area of operation.
Guiwan has already undergone custodial debriefing at the Headquarters of 50IB. 50IBDefender / MCAG
