Alberto is new Army Internal Auditor

From the Philippine News Agency (Oct 11): Alberto is new Army Internal Auditor

Col. Jose Ely Alberto, former head of the 4th Infantry Division Governance Strategy Management Office (GSMO), was appointed as Army Internal Auditor Monday.

He replaced Brig. Gen. Raul M. Farnacio who is now the commander of the Catbalogan-based 8th Infantry Division

Alberto assumed his new position during a simple change-of-office ceremony in Fort Bonifacio, Taguig City.

As head of the 4th Infantry GSMO, he pushed for the realization of the Army Transportation Roadmap (ATR).

He facilitated the crafting of personal scorecard of every 4th Infantry Division personnel, and ensured that the unit scorecard was aligned with the implementation of the ATR.

Alberto also served at the Department of National Defense from 2012 to 2015.

His most recent field duties include the following: commanding officer of the 62nd Infantry Battalion, 3rd Infantry Division; commanding officer of Task Force North Cotabato, 6th Infantry Division; and executive officer of the 602nd Brigade, 6th Infantry Division.

He started his military career in Mindanao, as platoon leader of Charlie Company, 51st Infantry Battalion in 1986 to company commander of the Alpha Company, 10th Infantry Battalion in 1992.

Alberto is a member of the Philippine Military Academy Class of 1986.
