From the Philippine News Agency (Feb 5): 18-year-old water station attendant gunned down in Sulu

Motorcycle-riding gunmen shot and killed an 18-year-old water station attendant in Jolo, Sulu Friday morning.

Joint Task Group Sulu commander Brig. Gen. Alan Arrojado, in a message to the PNA, identified the fatality as Eddie Tanola, single and a resident of Alicia town, Zamboanga Sibugay.

The shooting took place at 6:25 a.m. as the victim was about to open the water station in Marina St., Barangay Walled City, Jolo when motorcycle-riding gunmen appeared out of nowhere and shot him once in the head, killing Tanola instantly.

The suspects immediately escaped even as investigators are now determining the motive for the killing.
