CAPAS, Tarlac -- Around 100 troops will participate in the 16th Malaysia-Philippines Land Training Activity which opens this week at
“The September 9-21 event seeks to strengthen defense ties between the two countries through conduct of cross-training activities which focus on interoperability and counter-insurgency operations,” Army Training and Doctrine Command Civil Military Operations chief Lt. Col. Oscar Partuza said.
These cross-trainings are part of the Philippine Army’s international agreements aimed at developing and promoting cooperative activities.
“The Philippine Army will continue to participate in international defense and security engagements that will not only enhance our military relations with allied and other foreign armed forces, but also provide impetus for capability development,” Partuza added.
