PAF delivers 115,000 pounds of relief goods to quake victims

From the Philippine News Agency (Oct 18): PAF delivers 115,000 pounds of relief goods to quake victims

As of Friday, the Philippine Air Force (PAF) announced that it has delivered 115,000 pounds of emergency goods and supplies to the quake-battered provinces of Bohol and Cebu.

PAF spokesperson Miguel Ernesto Okol said that delivery of relief items started on Oct. 15.

He added that this was accomplished by three of the PAF's C-130 cargo aircraft.

"In response to help the victims especially those who called on the command for rescue in the worst-case disasters, all available PAF personnel, vehicles and aircraft were tapped to deliver assistance and to bring the victims to safer areas," Okol stressed.

With the support of Department of Social Welfare Development, Department of Health, Philippine National Red Cross, Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) and other local government units, the PAF shuttled necessities and equipment to all the distressed victims.
