Pinoy hacktivists deface Chinese websites

From the Manila Bulletin (Aug 3): Pinoy hacktivists deface Chinese websites



Numerous Chinese websites belonging to the Chinese gov't including a school has been defaced by Filipino members of Anonymous on Saturday, in retaliation for China's publication of a new map, where several disputed territories, including the Spratly islands, have been included in Chinese Territory according to Pinoy Hack News.

Included in the defacement was the website of the Yunnan University, the website of a Tianshu City agency and the website of the Henan Province.

According to the messages left on the defaced sites which are still active as of press time, the Philippines is for “pinoy's” only, and not for Chinese people.

The defacement were allegedly done by $kyl3, a member of hacktivist group Anonymous Aklan, according to the messages left on the websites.

  1. Perhaps Filipinos should brace themselves for retaliatory attacks against Philippine Websites by Chinese "hacktivists."
