From the Manila Bulletin (Nov 1): Leyte Has New Army Chief
The 8th Infantry (Stormtroopers) Division, Philippine Army (PA) recently installed a new commander in the person of Col. Rafael C. Valencia who will serve as the Brigade Commander of the 802nd Infantry (Peerless) Brigade, 8ID, PA, replacing Colonel Emmanuel G. Cacdac. The 802nd IB has jurisdiction over Northern and Leyte provinces....
