ARRIVAL HONORS | The Armed Forces of the Philippines renders military honors to the 40 newly promoted generals and flag officers at the AFP General Headquarters on June 20.Said officers were sworn to their respective duties by President Ferdinand Marcos Jr on June 19 in the Malacañan Palace, a rite signifying the supremacy of civilian authority over the military as enshrined in the Constitution.
The ceremony was witnessed by the Executive Secretary, Secretary Lucas Bersamin; National Defense Secretary Gilbert Teodoro; the Special Assistant to the President, Secretary Anton Lagdameo; the Presidential Communications Office Secretary Cheloy Garafil; Presidential Adviser on Military and Police Affairs Secretary Roman Felix; AFP Chief of Staff General Andres Centino; and Major Service commanders.
