MAGPET, COTABATO – Municipal Local Government Unit (MLGU) of Magpet in partnership with 72 Infantry “Gabay” Battalion reached out, facilitated and delivered basic services to the residents of Brgy Datu Celo, Magpet, Cotabato on Sunday, September 13, 2020.
The community outreach program was made possible through the selfless service and continuous support of different government agencies that aims to reach out, facilitate and deliver the best quality services to most disadvantaged and isolated areas in the municipality. The activity was attended by the representative and personnel of Kidapawan Technical School, Department of Trade and Industry (DTI), Medical/Dental Retainers, Magpet MPS, Mayors Office, Barangay Council and officers and troops of 72Ib.
Among the activities were the free hair cut, medical and dental check up, distribution of medicines and 5 kilos of rice to more than 100 families of said barangay.
“We are thankful that 72Ib initiated this community outreach program for the residents of Datu Celo. In behalf of our municipal mayor, Hon. Florenito Toto Gonzaga, we will always work together with the AFP and PNP in reaching out to all of you and give you the best quality services you all deserve”, Mr. Philvan Bataller, representative from Mayor’s Office said in his message.
In response, LTC Rey T Alvarado, Commanding Officer 72Ib expressed his gratitude to all the local agencies involved in the activity. He assured that 72Ib will not stop conceptualizing different activities that will allow the LGU, LGAs, PNP and AFP to bring closer to the people as a manifestation of our collaborative effort in sustaining our gains.
In addition, Hon. Emelio B Buenavides, Brgy Chairman of Brgy Datu Celo extended his hearfelt gratitude for bringing joy to the residents of said barangay. He assured that everyone in his barangay will help maintaining the lasting peace and order n their community.
