BALANGA CITY, Jan.19 (PIA) -- Bataan Provincial Youth Council (BPYC) will be conducting an orientation for the youth sector that will intensify their awareness against terrorism.
Provincial Social Welfare and Development Office Head Marilyn Tigas said out-of-school youth are still prone to persuasion and recruitment of communist terrorist groups even though Bataan was already declared insurgency-free.
“We need to inform and guide our youth on potential threats of terrorism by providing them with proper information on the issue,” Tigas, who co-chairs BPYC, stressed.
Department of the Interior and Local Government, Philippine National Police, Philippine Information Agency and other inter-agency members of the council committed support for the conduct of the orientation.
