CAMP SIONGCO, Maguindanao – The 6th Infantry Division and Joint Task Force Central immediately provided necessary aid to most affected municipalities in North Cotabato as a result of the powerful earthquakes that hit Mindanao in the last 3 weeks.
The Division extended humanitarian assistance by providing for the urgent needs of the families affected by the temblor. Moreover, donations such as foodstuffs and materials from stakeholders were consolidated at the Headquarters of 6 th CMO Battalion in
Cotabato City.
Likewise, transportation assets of 6th ID were also augmented to Cotabato Province Incident Command Post (ICP) to transport relief goods composed of water and tarpaulins in the hard-hit areas in Makilala, North Cotabato.
JTF Central and 6th ID Commander, Maj. Gen. Diosdado C. Carreon, expressed his sympathy to the victims of the powerful earthquake. He gave assurance to the victims that the Command is always ready to provide assistance.
