CAMP MONTECLARO, Miagao, Iloilo – The Philippine Army’s 61st Infantry Battalion and 301st Infantry Brigade headed by COL ORLANDO EDRALIN (GSC)MNSA PA, DBC 301BDE attended the Inauguration and Blessing Ceremony of Grains Flatbed Mechanical Drier Project held at Brgy Putian, Cuartero, Capiz.

Intended to benefit the growing eighty-five (85) members of Putian Farmers Association (PFA), the project was a result of concerted efforts of LGU, stakeholders, and Community Support Program (CSP) Teams who were deployed at Brgy Putian.

PFA Officials and members requested the said project supported by a baranggay resolution from the Department of Labor and Employment (DOLE).The request was later approved by the DOLE -Capiz with a project costs amounting to Eight hundred thousand pesos (P800,000.000).

Present during the ceremony were Engr Jez Balad-on, DOLE Capiz, Hon SB Abner Falsis, LGU Cuartero, Hon Punong Brgy Nes Foyunan and Mr Sebedeo F Falsis,PFA President. The blessing ceremony was graced by Ptr Yancy Japhet Martinez of Putian Evangelical Church.

LTC Joel Benedict Batara , Commanding Officer, 61IB said,” This is a manifestation of the strong commitment of our government and your Philippine Army to help the geographically isolated and depressed communities. It only shows that the army is truly for the people, and the CSP is our tool to prove our sincerity in helping and addressing the socio-economic problems of these communities.”
