The 5th Infantry “Star” Division successfully conducted the send-off ceremony to the 243 Privates who will be deployed in the different line units under the Command, at the 5ID Grandstand, Camp Melchor f Dela Cruz, Upi, Gamu, Isabela on 22 October 2018 with Major General Perfecto M Rimando Jr, AFP, Commander, 5ID as the key note speaker.
The Commander, 5ID gave a fatherly advised to the Privates by saying, “You are the workforce of the Philippine Army, so expect that you will be given hard tasks but don’t be discouraged. Instead, be patient and do your best. Because, these tasks will help you learn and prepare you to do greater responsibilities in the future as you step in a rank higher. Always remember that you are not going in a picnic but in a war, always be guided and strictly follow the chain of command and be alert at all times.”
The activity ended with the inspection of the Privates. 5DPAO / MCAG
