CAMP JAIME N FERRER SR., Barangay Maharlika, Bislig City (DWDD) – Five (5) members of Militia ng Bayan, GF14 surrendered again to the CST (Community Support Team) of Bravo Company of 75th Infantry “Marauder” Battalion, 4ID, PA along with their firearms at Sitio Cosep, Brgy. Bayugan 3, Rosario, Agusan del Sur at 12noon, October 10, 2018.

The surrenderees were identified as Samuel Pagaran AKA Tonex, Ernesto Nadala AKA Edi, RoniePardillo AKA Philip, EldenTiin AKA Conie/KC and Necel Pau-as AKA Neneng, all residents of SitioCosep, BrgyBayugan 3, Rosario, Agusan del Sur.They laid down three (3) firearms to wit: one (1) Cal 38 with six (6) rounds ammunition; one (1) Improvised Cal 22 Rifle and one (1) Improvised Shotgun with three (3) rounds ammunition.

LTC Jaime R Datuin INF (GSC) PA,, the Commanding Officer of 75IB said, “The recent act of submitting oneself of the MBs to the government authority with their firearms shows a clear sign that our brothers in the far flung communities were already enlightened with the NPA propaganda through the efforts of our Community Support Program.” “I will not be tired in appealing to the remaining Communist rebels to lay down your arms, “mamuhay ng tahimik at matiwasay kapiling ang inyong mahal sa buhay. Sama-sama tayong buhayin ang kapayapaan at pagbibigayan, ibahagi natin at iparating din sa kaalaman ng mga hindi pa sumusuko na may maliwanag na pag-asa kasabay ng kanilang pagsuko at pagbabago tungo sa ikauunlad ng kanilang buhay sa pamamagitan ng prebilehiyong ibibigay ng pamahalaan sa lahat ng rebel returnees.” Datuin added.

Likewise, Brigadier General Andres C Centino AFP, 401st Brigade Commander expressed his appreciation to the marauder troopers for another job well done. “Our Community Support Team are not on war or enemy confrontation, they are here to support the development of disaster/conflict resiliency in geographically isolated and disadvantaged areas and to strengthen the barangay based institution to ensure efficient delivery of basic services and sustain the support of the government to the people,” BGen Centino ended. 75IB CMO / MCAG
