As the nation celebrates the 115th anniversary of the Civil
Service this September, the Philippine Army (PA) on Tuesday formally recognized
its 10 outstanding civil service employees.
PA spokesperson Col. Benjamin Hao identified these civilian
employees as Dr. Ma Arlene E. Galon of the 1501st Philippine Army Dental
Dispensary, Virginia N. De Luna of the Civil Military Operations Group,
Luzviminda K. Mangulabnan of the Civilian Personnel Office, Ramon M. De Castro
of the Office of the Army Internal Auditor, Jocelyn S. De Castro of the
Management and Fiscal Office, Lilian A. Arce of the Civilian Personnel Office,
Adolfo P. Tolentino of the Army Signal Regiment, Josephine F. Plameras of the
Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Intelligence, and Justino A.
Palencia of the Headquarters and Headquarters Support Group and Manuel M.
Rosario, of the Headquarters Service Battalion.
The ten were given Command Plaques and cash incentives.
On the other hand, Long Service Gold Pins were awarded to
Zaida L. Ondoy, Office of the Army Internal Auditor; Cecilia O. Valdez, Office
of the Army Provost Marshall, Zorayda A. Aguilar, Office of the Army Chief
Nurse, Josephine A. Balaqui, Research and Development Center, Army Support
Command, Julieta B. Florendo, Army General Hospital; Señorita R. Basilio, Army
Support Command; Adoracion C. Laberinto, Office of the Army Adjutant; Lenie A.
Flores, Office of the Army Chief Public Affairs; Lydia L. De Lima, Office of
the Assistant Chief of Staff for Reservist and Retirees Affairs; and Cecilia R.
De Lara, Office of the Assistant Chief of Staff for Personnel.
These awards are part of the PA's celebration of the 115th
anniversary of the Civil Service with the theme, "KAYANG KAYA MO, LINGKOD
BAYANI!", highlighting the significant contributions of defense civilian
personnel in the attainment of the Army's thrusts.
