From the Philippine Information Agency (Jun 17): EastMincom receives new ambulance
DAVAO CITY- The Armed Forces of the Philippines’ Eastern Mindanao Command received a brand-new ambulance from the Philippine Charity Sweepstakes Office (PCSO) yesterday (June 16).
The turn-over of the ambulance was held at the Eastmincom headquarters in Camp Panacan (Naval Station Felix Apolinario) with Lt. General Aurelio Baladad formally receiving the ambulance from PCSO, he was also joined by Naval Forces Eastern Mindanao commander Commodore Rafael Mariano.
The NFEM has jurisdiction over the Camp Panacan Station Hospital where the ambulance will be deployed.
“The ambulance will definitely add up to the capability of the Camp Panacan Station Hospital in its crucial operations especially emergency situations.” Lt. Gen. Baladad said thankful for the very important donation.
The Eastmincom is one of the AFP’s wide support commands with jurisdiction over the regions of Davao, Caraga, Northern Mindanao and parts of Soccksargen (South Cotabato, Cotabato, Koronadal, Sarangani and General Santos). It is involved in combating insurgency and terrorism aside from providing humanitarian assistance and disaster response operations in their area of responsibility.
